the pleats from the right.
Hold the top edge of the sari taut in your right
hand. With your left hand, bring the edge over
your forefinger and back under your thumb. This
measures the first pleat. Slip your forefinger
out and measure the next pleat.
Make 7 or 8 deep pleats. They should take up
the next 2.50 yards. Hold the pleats together
and tuck them smoothly into the petticoat. The
pleats should face towards the left and fall
gracefully to the ground.
